This semi-abstract painting combines suggestions of canopies, windows, pyramids, figures, and patterns to evoke the mystery of travel.

Artist Biography:
I create my own charcoal from meaningful objects (scientific, political, sentimental). My charcoal art is typically abstract or geometric. I have developed several methods of applying the charcoal to paper and linen, often in combination with oil paint. I also create figurative oil paintings. These are often inspired by journeys and landscapes. I am also inspired by vintage photographs and movies, as well as images relating to current world events.
