"This painting captures a notion that reality consists of two opposing states," explains artist Shyun Song. "The dark line between the warm and cool colors stands for the unfathomable cleft which divides the two."
About the Artist
Painting is not merely an aesthetic endeavor for Shyun Song, but also an existential one. Her art matches aspects of geometric shapes to express meaning. The starting point of her creation is a definite subject which derives from her intuition and instinct. She then aims to capture the human experience, both positive and negative. Shyun has a habit of mentally editing whatever she sees to her visual satisfaction.
