A mid-career California artist, Henriques, has also lived in South America. He is influenced by Bonnard and Vuillard, and inspired by music — specifically Western jazz. When talking about his paintings, the artist says it is best experienced slowly, like good music, food, or dancing. Color reigns in Henriques' delightful compositions that are at once, balanced, harmonious and a toast to life.
