This fantastic painting in the abstract expressionist style loosely depicts a group of figures, possibly nude. The artist expertly employs abstraction but still maintains a sense of form by allowing the characters to remain suspended between figure and abstract.
Syril Harriet Frank was born in Brooklyn to Israel and Mina Kaplan. She lived a long and adventurous life: Brooklyn to Cuba, China to Australia, and many stops in between - not the least of which were Florence and Paris. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology (1950's), and obtained a Masters Degree in Art History from CUNY (1979). In addition to her love for art, she was passionate about sailing, skiing, travel, and the beach. She was also an art collector herself.

- Condition:Paint flaked off in a few places, largest portion of loss is about the size of a quarter. With some restoration this piece can absolutely be brought back to life.
