THOMAS EASLEY
The Bike Man

2018

About the Item

In this painting from Thomas Easley's Working Man series, a man is depicted bent over a bicycle, burdened by a substantial load on his back. Serving as an ode to the working men and women whose labors make our lives easier, the artwork draws inspiration from the image of men seen carrying heavy loads across Asia, often atop their bicycles. Rendered in warm grays and soft browns, the man becomes the focal point, enveloped in a yellow-golden light, reminiscent of a spotlight. Purposefully maintaining an indecipherable face, the painting emphasizes the anonymity of hardworking individuals, highlighting their collective efforts and sacrifices. This Painting will be shipped directly from the artist's studio.
