About the Item
The process of creating a painting leaves a series of created elements and randomly they become the starting point for the next piece. It is a process of adding and removing; always keeping in mind the history of abstract art. This series is born from a search to leave aside the narrative figurative and reduce the image to shape and color.
Alejandra Quintanilla's artistic work presents an explosive variety of abstract shapes and striking colors, which dynamically intertwine on canvas and paper. The organic shapes suggest movement, as if caught in an eternal dance, evoking the chaos and beauty of a wild garden or an abstract landscape. His works stand out for their energetic composition, where each color and shape competes for attention but is part of an integrated whole. The artist's mastery of combining sharp edges with softer transitions invites the viewer to explore the depths and layers of the piece.

Alejandra Quintanilla
Alejandra Quintanilla studied and received a degree in Arts at the University of Monterrey UDEM. She also attended a residency program at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York. Her work has been exposed to individuals and collections in museums in Mexico, the United States, Bolivia, and Brazil. Alejandra was a selected artist at the Monterrey Arts Center at the 16th General Assembly at the Center Roberto Garza Sada. And from a collectivist group, she exhibited at the Marco Museum (Mty), Rufino Tamayo Museum (Mexico, DF), Palazzo Delle Papesse (Siena, Italy), Arts Center (Mty), Museo del Chopo (Mexico, DF). Her work was selected in XIV Bienal de Pintura Rufino Tamayo, ArtEmergente Bienal Monterrey, Third and Monterrey, to name a few and her work was exhibited in fairs as well as in Maco in the Arco de Madrid. Alejandra's work was in the collection of the Museum of Fine Art, Houston and the Museum of Latin American Art, California.

About the artist
Adrian Gonzalez (Mexico, 1987). He graduated in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts and Design, UNAM (Universidad Autonoma de Mexico) in 2011. His work is part of the Sebastian Foundation Collection, Grupo Reforma and various private collections.
