Selah is a word of uncertain meaning, but indicates stillness and contemplation. Like much of my work, Selah creates a paradox. My paintings are prayers. Prayers voicing doubt and adversity, but paradoxically, callings of stillness and rejoice towards the hope that awaits for the appointed time; it hastens towards the end and will not fail. Though it lingers, we must for it; for it will certainly come, and will not delay. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.
About the Artist
Wes Sumrall began painting at a young age and enjoys observing nature. As he explains, his work involves studying the nature of light by subduing the nuanced color variations instilled. He has been greatly influenced by Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman and Claude Monet. When he;s not painting, he enjoys backpacking, going to music venues, working out and spending time with friends.

Artist Comments
This is a thickly textured oil painting on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished white edges. It comes ready to hang.About the Artist
Naoko Paluszak began her career by studying graphic design in Tokyo, followed by several years working as a designer, before switching to oil painting. Now located in the United States, Naoko continues to develop her style through different series of paintings that have varying degrees of abstraction. By bridging representational with non-representational forms, the artist seeks to stir personal memories and spark new narratives. “Art is about having a sense of mystery and drama,” she says. Naoko is also passionate about color. She mixes her paints based on the intuitive emotions that different colors can trigger within the viewer, and within herself.Category21st Century and Contemporary Abstract Abstract Paintings

Price Upon Request - BELOVED, Painting, Oil on CanvasBy Michele MorataLocated in Yardley, PAFor every painting I create, I include a Poetic Art Statement. Poetic words emerge while I am painting, which become the art statement. It is my intention that these words can be used as a form of meditation with each painting to give the viewers a deeper experience with the artwork and create an experience of "peaceful pause" moments in time. Poetic Art Statement for this piece: Beloved ~ Beauty of Nature. Inspired by my love of earth's natural majesty, I utilized professional grade water-mixable oils, glazes, recycled glass particles and melted silver...Category
