About the Item
I painted this composition a number of times. It is a rumination on the shape of the relationships within family. The composition in quarters, half just my favorite yellow. The color of warm California sunshine. The left side children, right side adults. Topside landscape, half man made, half nature; all in nostalgic pastels. Thats how I see it. How I thought about it while making it. Do you need to know any of that? It is also a image of a moment in life. A happy day, just a memory of a fleeting moment. Somehow it is easier to overpopulate a little painting and get away with it that in a big canvas. This little painting is crowded with life.
