The original painting by Adrienne Sherman in oil on panel with a lacquer-like luster. depicting the once endangered American Bald Eagle, is happily currently off the endangered species list. Hence the title: "Saved". The painting is 6 x 6 inches and is professionally framed in dark wood with an outer dimension of 7.5 x 7.5 inches. The original painting is rich and reflective. Photorealistic and includes the egg that the bird came from, hanging by a thread. A delightful jewel from the artist whose poetic and realistic works are at once modern, fresh and contemporary, while giving a nod to past scientific illustrators and historians, and serving as a harbinger of extinction. Artist signed, titled, stamped and dated verso. Painted in 2020. Condition is excellent and as new. At Andra Norris Gallery in Burlingame, CA.
