About the Item
This book canvass was made in order to give books new life. They were an abandoned and almost extinct encyclopedia. The two artists and industrial designers decided to convert it into a beautiful canvass for water color painting. They were inspired by the combination of two extinct subjects: Rhinos and Books.
The sepia black and white colors give you the flexibility to paint the back wall any color desired for it contrasts perfectly. It is easy to hang for the books are assembled in three vertical strands. Metal fixings on the back were placed.

Arozarena De La Fuente
Born in the heart of Mexico City, these two artists and industrial designers, Ampi Arozarena and Elena De La Fuente describe form and color as their core of exploration. They admire the dual identity the two elements create in their works of art. They are driven by the optical and physical sensation materials become on their unique canvasses. This artwork´s unique and neutral colors make it easy to blend perfectly well in any surrounding. The artistic collective began in 2016 and they have not stopped creating new pieces and exhibiting them internationally. Some of these exhibitions include: Design Week 2016, "El Hormiguero" at Lincoln Park, "Los 17 del 17" at Aura Galerías, Art United for Mexico (all art work was donated in order to fund the recontstruction of the city after the devastating earthquake), Art in Benefit of CONFE, "Sonder", Franz Mayer Museum 2018, "El grupo de los 16", "Drops" and Art Basel Miami 2019.

This piece is brand new. It was painted during the first week of January 2019. The colors used give a delicate touch of light to the painting. It was done with water colors, charcoal and acrylic techniques. The abandoned books found were used to give them new life and another purpose in decoration. It is easy to install for it comes in four separate vertical pieces. The two arstists were inspired by the magic elephants share and how their closeness gives us energy and peacefulness.

The works are challenging, complex and magically real and acknowledge life’s gentleness and aggressiveness in unison. While nature’s logic could be used to argue the very existence of an omnipotent creator, Salvi, paradoxically suggests ambiguity to life's bigger and deeper questions; answers of which he feels don't come in neat packages. One of the most popular series of the Master Artist, The Golden Flute is the artists more romantic renedition of Art. The iconic figures of Krishna, Radha, and Ganesha that found lyrical expression in the Icons series are modern representations and sophisticated idealizations of the same images in the popular media.
Krishna is a cosmic musician, and the tune he creates by playing his transcendental flute is embodied with cosmic energy. When Krishna is depicted as being between the age of 5 and 8, it is always with his flute. Therefore, during this period, he is aptly called Murlidhara (murali means “flute,” and dhara means “hold”), signifying the one who holds the flute. He is never without it, whether he is with his mother, on the grazing grounds with his herd of cows, among his cowherd companions or roaming around on the Jamuna banks. Gopis lose their selves in this tune. For them, music becomes the voice of love, which is too passionate and secretive.
Style :
The city of Kolkata has always figured prominently in his work. His themes come from his personal interactions with its urban milieu - its sickness and sordidness, its violence and vulnerability and all that compounds its existential agony. Shuvaprasanna has depicted varying moods of the city and its people, its places, and all its facets that make the city distinctive.
He doesn't merely portray reality as 'matter of fact' and his presentation of reality often has dream-like elements in it. In terms of technique, Shuvaprasanna boasts a precise, finely executed style that yields an unmistakable visual intensity. He works comfortably in an assortment of media, including oil on canvas, charcoal, and mixed media.

Born : In Calcutta, 1947.
Education :
Graduated from Indian College of Art (R.B. University, Calcutta) in 1969.
Exhibitions :
Shuvaprasanna has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tao Art Gallery and at the Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'ABODE' sold at Waddington's 'Fine Prints & Photography Auction' in 2014. There have been many articles about Shuvaprasanna, including 'An exclusive edifice' written by Kunal Ray for The Hindu in 2014.
