Amazing late Victorian English mahogany bedroom screen set with six horse/polo pony portraits.
George Paice was an English painter of horse, sporting and animal subjects from the late Victorian period through the early 20th century.
This piece must have been a special commission and is an outstanding example of using paintings set in furniture.
Each horse portrait is of the finest quality and together they make a unique object that could be hung from a wall or used as a focal point to any room in a house.
The screen is well made and the finest quality mahogany was used in its construction.
