About the Item

Henrietta Caledon Over the Rainbowl Framed Original Oil Painting Oil on Canvas Board Canvas Size: H 46cm x W 61cm Signed by the artist (Please note that in situ images are purely an indication of how a piece may look). Over the Rainbow was painted during the lockdown. Each animal and flower represent different things, the eggs and tadpoles show new life, the four-leaf clover is for luck, the bee produces the elixir of life in the honeycomb, the owl is wise, the rabbit symbolizes fertility and family. The frog navigates between the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes. Extractivism is a movement started by Zumloh where you only paint happy things. The rainbow became a symbol for the NHS. The sides of the canvas are painted. Henrietta Caledon was born in London in 1964. Studied art and history of art for O’level and A’level at West Heath School and then Queensgate School. Trained at Xium International design service company in 1982/83. Started interior decorating business Henrietta Designs in 1984 and have carried out many projects around the world for thirty five years, working a lot with design and colour. 2016-2019, Trained with Nick Bashall at Rossetti Studios and the sketch club at Dilke Street. 2018 exhibited three paintings in group exhibition at The Hurlingham Club, London. 2019 solo exhibition at Kiki McDonough of flower paintings during Chelsea Flower show week. July 20th – September 20th, solo exhibition at Partridges, Duke of York Square.

Where Wild Meadows Whisper #3, Lucy Moore, Landscape Painting, Contemporary Art
By Lucy Moore
Located in Deddington, GB
Where Wild Meadows Whisper #3 by Lucy Moore [2022] Where Wild Meadows Whisper #3 60 x 97 cm Using a heavy texture I have created this happy floral meadow popping with daisies, tulips and pansies. I love painting abstract landscapes, using my techniques to put movement into the painting bringing it to life Wychwood Art comments " We love Lucy Moore's original meadow paintings. They are full of colour and energy at affordable prices" Additional information: Original Acrylic on canvas Image size: H:67 cm x W:90 cm Complete Size of Unframed Work: H:67 cm x W:90 cm x D:1.9 cm Sold Unframed Please note that insitu images are purely an indication of how a piece may look I have always enjoyed being creative but lacked the confidence to pursue a career as an artist, after many nudges from family and friends I decided to bite the bullet.I set out on my artists adventure in Feb 2014 I used my loft for a studio and spent every spare moment experimenting and creating. In Feb 2015 I signed up to several online galleries, every painting I sold boosted my confidence and I would spend hour daydreaming of becoming a full time artist. Since then I have come a long way and have been able to purchase my own studio, I now have a little sanctuary in my back garden. When I am not working as a part time book keeper, I can be found hidden away in my studio creating original artworks. I am inspired by the nature around me, from flourishing meadows to the crashing waves in the ocean, however I do like to add my own twist on things. I do love to work freely with abstract using colours and textures to guide me. For me Art is a necessity, I need to paint. The colours and images that swirl round my head daily I capture on canvas. I feel very privileged to have sold my work all over the world. My dream is to become a full time artist, With each painting I sell I take a step closer to achieving my goal. 13/08/2018 I took a leap of faith. Currently working as a full time artists. "If you give up on your dreams, what's left?" (Jim Carrey)
