Joseph Sundwall
Bearing the Light, original 28x24 realist equestrian landscape

About the Item

Bearing the light, this elegant, white horse, commands respect as he gallops freely down the mountain towards the meadow below. So gracefully he establishes his dominion over this equestrian landscape. This realistic depiction of power and grace has been painted by professional portrait artist Joseph Sundwall now of New York state. He grew up, however, in Chicago where his artistic talents were recognized early on. He studied his trade at the Kansas City Art Institute, the famed Art Students League and National Academy of Design in NYC followed by added training in London at the St. Oswald Studios. He developed an exceptional ability to create figurative compositions as well as portraiture to significant acclaim. Sundwall original oil paintings are in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
