About the Artist:
Within the great tradition of painting, Linda St. Clair set herself apart as an innovator who created animal portraits that explore the personalities of creatures great and small. Whether her subjects were of the barnyard, domestic or wild variety, they are undeniably the product of an artist inspired by wildlife's vital energy and its broad emotional range. St. Clair's body of work is infused with a strong narrative sense, a clear articulation of mood and spirit, and an intricate knowledge of animal anatomy. Each painting is completed during a single, intense session out of her studio in Santa Fe. She traveled extensively to observe and photograph animals, from Alaska, to Kenya, Rwanda, and Hudson Bay, Canada. Whether the subjects are lions or lambs, horses or hares, or the flamboyant and feisty barnyard rooster, St. Clair's work is characterized by the contrast of warm and cool colors, loose brushstrokes and bold color. St. Clair's work is exhibited throughout the nation and worldwide. She was the recipient of the North Star Award at the Heart of the West Show in 2016. She was also a member of the Society of Animal Artists in New York.

Dane Ellsworth enjoys all things Texan. Whether it's an old west character or a depression era car his painting backdrop is the Lone Star State. He has been wielding a crayon, pencil or brush as far back as he can remember. In his junior year, due to a long list of dubious events, Dane wound up on the verge of homelessness.
