Four Sheep (Ovejas) in the Field is part of a new sheep painting by Texas-based artist It has a custom made frame that compliments the painting. See an image of they frame that was taken quickly to post. The sheep appear to have paused in the field and reflecting upon something. The size is 36" x 24 " oil on canvas. The painting was difficult to photograph and there is no glare in the painting.
Luke Autrey was born in Sulphur, Louisiana, Luke Autrey is largely a self-taught artist living in Austin, Texas. With an interest in art and painting since childhood, Luke was inspired to start painting late in life by his family & partner. Luke was also inspired and given direction by family member, American Impressionist James Scoppettone. Luke's current series is inspired by his upbringing on a farm in a very rural area where ominous skies or oncoming dusk would end time outside.
