About the Item

Margret Cornish English painter of animal and dog subjects, Signed lower left and inscribed on the reverse. Wonderful and very well painted portrait of a 'Best Friend', as titled on the reverse. The artist was active from the late 19th century through the early 20th century, mostly painting animal subjects. This piece is in very good condition and has been recently cleaned and revarnished. The frame is a vintage English frame.
