About the Item
Baiba-Genriha Maria is a Latvian painter and visual art teacher. Born in 1953. Feb 12 In Preili. Graduated from Preiļi Secondary School No. 1, studied at Painting Department of the Academy of Arts. The teachers were notable artists K. Ubāns, I. Vecozols, E. Iltners, B. Bērziņš. The artist paints landscapes, focusing on sacred themes, her works can be found in several Latvian churches, they are exhibited in many art galleries. Solo exhibitions have been held in Riga and Preili (1994, 2011). The artist's works are in private collections in Latvia and abroad.
