Fables No. 1: Silk and Steel series - mixed media painting and sculpture. A wonderful, provocative, curiously mysterious and delightful painting and sculpture by Elaine Badgley Arnoux.
Elaine Badgley Arnoux’s fantastic and curious “Fables” contain the essence of nightmares and dreams, and they are created with oil on canvas, steel, and papier-mâché. “The Fox Went Out One Stormy Night,” from the artist’s important “Once Upon A Time” series, speaks to people young and old, and it has exhibited throughout California in solo museum shows. This extraordinary woman artist, now in her 90s, says in her “Shadows and Light” documentary, “I was very old when I was young. I wasn't young until I was old.” The messages in these autobiographical narratives that use Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes to examine the state of the world are wondrously executed and realized. This authentic, from-the-soul art reflects the artist’s innate talent and her willingness to remain emotionally open and vulnerable.
Badgley Arnoux's work is collected throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.

This work of art was done with 14,570 delicately placed pins upon hanging ropes. The concentration of pins is what makes the tiger appear. They are all firmly inserted with resin which makes them stay in place. On the back side the pins were all trimmed so they don´t overpass the cotton ropes.
This piece is extremely flexible while installing for it can be either hung from above and delicately separate two places or hung on walls with three screws that will hold the copper tube. It decorates places in a beautiful way for the colors are very neutral.
