"Sampson" is an original oil painting by Vermont-based artist Ray Simonini featuring a Texas Longhorn cow portrait with an abstract green and blue background. This breed of cow is known for its distinctive long horns and varied coloring. The style is representational with expressive brushwork, capturing the essence of the animal.
Simonini was born in China in 1981. He became intrigued by illustrations and used old comic books as a source of inspiration for drawing. Illustration continues to influence the style and direction of his work.

Ray Simonini was born in China in 1981. He became intrigued by illustration and used old comic books as a source of inspiration for drawing.
