Originaire de la région parisienne, Sylvie Ajacques est née avec la passion du dessin et de la peinture. Un voyage au Zimbabwe, un autre au Népal, seront décisifs dans sa volonté de se consacrer à la peinture pour témoigner des émotions ressenties dans ces terres lointaines. Son diplôme de peintre en Décor de Paris lui permet d’exercer la profession de peintre en Décor puis par la suite, elle se consacre principalement à la peinture et sculpture animalières.
C’est au pied des collines vauclusiennes que l’artiste a posé ses bagages, dans un de ces villages irradiés de lumière dans laquelle elle puise l’énergie de son œuvre. Spécialisée dans le monde animal, par la mise en scène de son milieu,Sylvie Ajacques cherche à mettre en valeur ce qui le caractérise : force, faiblesse, élégance, cruauté, charisme... Essayer de mieux le comprendre afin de mieux le respecter.
