A graduate of the Art Students League, Lawrence gained early acclaim with a show at Abercrombie and Fitch. A World War II Combat Artist, his experiences informed his vivid, authentic style. Exhibited in the Library of Congress and the Museum of Natural History, this piece is a quintessential example of Lawrence’s celebrated legacy.
