About the Item

Painting: Acrylic, Spray Paint, neon oil pastels, Ink on Canvas. "We Are Heroes" is a large abstract painting. 140 cm/55.1 in H x 100 cm/39.37 in W, 4 cm/1,57 in deep. The painting is mixed media ( acrylics, spray paint, neon oil pastels, ink) on high quality canvas. 'Heroes' is a song by singer-songwriter David Bowie. It was co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno. It was recorded in 1977 at Hansa Studio by the Wall. A product of Bowie's "Berlin" period, the track was not a huge hit in the United Kingdom or the United States after its release, but it has since become one of his signature songs. The song tells the story of two lovers, one from East and one from West Berlin. Bowie's performance of "'Heroes'" on 6 June 1987, at the German Reichstag in West Berlin has been considered a catalyst to the later fall of the Berlin Wall. Following his death in January 2016, the German government thanked Bowie for "helping to bring down the Wall", adding "you are now among Heroes". Expressive color combination on a grey ground. "We are heroes" is sprayed on the painting. This expressive artwork is ready to hang, edges are painted grey. The signature is on the front. It is varnished for protection against UV light and dust. You will receive a signed certificate of authenticity. It will be packed professionally. You will love the positive vibes, the gestural brush strokes and bold energy of this painting. A large statement piece for your home or your office! :: Painting :: Abstract Expressionism :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: Yes :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: front and back :: Canvas :: Portrait :: Original :: Framed: No

"Love You More" Contemporary Mixed Media Large Abstract Oil Painting on Canvas
By Anabel Leiner
Located in New York, NY
The feeling of Anabel's work comforts the viewer with rich color juxtaposed with aggressive darker tones. In a whirlwind of elements we can feel specks of dust, drops of rain, rays of sunshine; taking you to a landscape bursting with sensations, emotions and most of all, the feeling of a thousand things happening in an instant. This piece is signed on verso and it is painted with oil, acrylic and spray paint on canvas and with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed. Art measures 90 x 70 inches Anabel Leiner is a contemporary artist from Hamburg Germany. Her process deals with constantly experimenting with mixed media and colors to find her abstractions. Her experimentation process is one that motivates her and drives her to find new media. Her artwork highlights the catalytic role of materiality and technique in the contemporary quest of abstraction. The result is refreshing with long lines contrasted with soft colors, balancing these features delicately and skillfully. Her use of color evokes elegance as her lines create an innovative touch.
