About the Item

Inspired by Yoko Ono. John Lennon apparently met Yoko Ono in 1966, at a London gallery, where she was installing a show. Lennon adored Ono's ceiling piece: a ladder with a magnifying glass hanging above it, and the word "yes" in tiny letters on the ceiling. Yoko Ono's message is positive,- it is a message of love and peace. In my paintinngs birds represent wings of possibilities and freedom of flight. The gestural line is drawn with neon pink soft pastel. This expressive painting is 50 x 50 cm/19.68 x 19.68 in, 4cm /1.56 in deep. Edges are painted, so framing is not necessary. It is painted on high quality canvas and varnished for protection against dust and UV light. It will be sent to you with a signed certificate of authenticity. :: Painting :: Street Art :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: Yes :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: front and back :: Canvas :: Diagonal :: Original :: Framed: No

Artist Comments
Ethereal and strong washes of color cover the canvas, some spreading across the surface at an angle reminiscent of the last light of the day. Many areas of interest, with blocks of color, geometric shapes, textured paint, playful drawing and subtle reference to space. Created using multiple layers of opaque and transparent glazes. The title comes from a line in the song "Jimi Thing" from Dave Matthews...
