About the Item
I created this piece as an experiment to see if I could place a transparent layer of intense color over a heavily textured painting. As it turns out the experiment worked, and this painting became a foundation for a whole series of paintings which is still ongoing. The title refers to the information age and how our abundant access to data has both enhanced and endangered our ability to know truth. The underlying hope of this sentiment is that the veils of the fabricated replacements for truth are slowly but surely fading away. This panel is a cradled sheet of birch plywood, with premium 2.5" sides. The sides are painted white.
