About the Item
The golden fields of the majestic Canadian prairies. The storm clouds now clearing as rays of sunshine begin peaking through once more. Growing up my father worked for the Canadian National Railway all his life. We lived in Toronto but my mother was from a family of six brothers and sisters who all lived in western Canada. Dad would get my mom, my brother and I free passes for cross Canada travel every summer. We would spend two weeks at every aunt and uncle's houses. Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver were out destinations. Train travel across the Canadian prairies and eventually into the Rocky Mountains was unforgettable. Every year from age 4 to 16 I made this trip.
