About the Item
This painting was begun in 2020 towards the start of the pandemic, and completed in January 2024. The image you now see is the result of multiple painting sessions over the last four years, where I slowly and methodically built up oil paint layers to create thick heavy textures. With this bold application of paint, alongside the gestural marks that sweep across the canvas, my hope is that this piece will provide the viewer with a sensory experience not unlike music, and a framework on which they can build upon their own ideas thoughts and feelings.
