Ballestra expresses a unique movement in each painting with a very subtle sensuality and a juxtaposition of colors to reveal light and shadows, creating a synergy between the piece and the viewer. She incorporates colorful narratives and cultural innuendos that are inspired from her travels around the world, especially Egypt, Latin America and the Seychelles.
