This is a captivating portrait of a young Bedouin. The painting has a sensitive and cohesive colour pallet where the subject and the background almost become on.
They stand in front of us, in multiple layers of clothes to protect themselves from the elements. He also holds in his hands a wooden staff, that will no doubt assist to cross the rocky terrain that he will encounter on his travels. Despite his apparent young age he looks out directly at the viewer, unafraid, composed and captured in a natural state.
