Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (Issued by the Gallery) About Artist Aba Linus is a trained multidisciplinary artist from Benue State, Nigeria, based in Abuja. He obtained a Bachelor's certificate in Art from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as a painting major. Linus' works are expressions of his creative exploration that present a confluence of human lived experiences, Conversation, and interaction. The visuality of my paintings intends to bring the tangibility that people are the product of another man's ideology. My works have been featured in several art organizations and virtual exhibitions @nitrantal996 (nitrate 21,22), @paintingchallengeNg, @artspectra, and @nowexpression (workshop), amongst others. ART STATEMENT My paintings stem from my encounter with human society and the psychology that affects our daily encounters with matter, time, and spaçe. With the use of the acrylic medium, I try to paint images that express basic and necessary Elements of the human experience. Working through a variety of themes- oppression, depression, Loneliness, Love - All gravitating towards figurative abstract realism. I see my painting as an observation and a means of offering an open-ended discussion. As they are not intended to answer any question or change human behavior.
