A very fine original oil painting by the well listed and sought after French artist, Alcide Joseph LORENTZ (French 1813-1891). The work is both signed and dated, 1857.
Beautiful details captured, both to the elegant, sweeping staircase, and to the figures. The work also has a very defined and captivating palette. An excellent example of this important mid 19th century French painters work.
