This artwork "Three Women" is an oil on canvas board by renown Turkish artist Ali Demir, 1931-2015. It is signed and dated at the lower right corner by the artist. The canvas board size is 23.65 x 15.75 inches, framed size is 29 x 21.35 inches. Framed in a wooden black and gold frame. It is in excellent condition.
About the artist:
Ali Demir was born at the Darsiyak Village of Kayseri in 1931. He has painted in professional sense since 1947. He has focused on painting natural and social structure of Turkey since 1968. The brown color, which symbolizes the Anatolian soil, has been used intensively on his works. Demir has had more than 100 exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad. He has won four different prizes. His work is held in private collections worldwide as well as museums, including the renown Doku Art Gallery in Istanbul. He died in 2015.
