Ana Gesper visualises psychological states in figurative images. She is in the process of self-knowledge of her psychological structure. The artist discovers amazing mythological creatures, structures of self-restraint and compensation, hypertrophied or infantile aspects of personality in her own subconscious.
Her concentrated attention in the form of a pilgrim wanders through the labyrinth of viscous substances and foggy spaces. Objects often resemble a seething amalgam of a mirror and serve as portals to another reality.
Through these windows you can see your own mutations, shadows, subpersonalities, natural eroticism and the moving energy of life-death-life. Cultural experience and sensuality blend together.
Ana uses computer graphics, ceramics, painting, sculpture, graphics and textiles. Craft practices are of particular importance. She likes to break the boundaries of classical techniques and mix. She simultaneously uses engobe, glazes and transparent printing in ceramic sculptures or etching, monotype and volumetric embossing in printed graphics. As a result, the works resemble sacred objects of worship of a civilization that never existed.
Ana Gesper was born on December 1, 1987. The artist creates ceramic sculptures in the author's technique using transparent printing, breaking the boundaries of traditional techniques. In the area of her interests is the discovery and study of rudimentary and unviable in the modern world of unconscious behavioral scenarios, through the study of one's own psychological structure. Visualizing images of affective and psychotic states, splits and "systemic errors" of the psyche, as part of the universal unconscious attitudes based on the experience of previous generations. Ana explores myths, archetypes, unconscious social and gender scripts, psychological traumas, mystical practices and artifacts of human archaism. In her work, contemporary discourses enter into a dialogue with traditional techniques and cultural heritage.
