Andres Retamero was born in Cuba in 1970.Andres Retamero says this about his paintings ” I don't explain my paintings to others, I like to leave the meaning open”. Self-taught training. Member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), Andres Retamero has illustrated Cuban and foreign books and periodicals, such as the Centroamericana de Arte Magazine “Decenio Cultural”, illustrations for the book You are All Invited, by Juan Carlos García Guridi , cover of the book “The agony of the flying fish” by Emilio Comas Paret, cover of the book by Josué Pérez “In the vulnerable depth”, Félix Pita Rodríguez and AHS award; interiors for Omar Felipe Mauri's book “Leyendas del Mayabeque”, as well as other magazines and publications. His works are found in private collections in Italy, the United States, France, Spain, Germany, England, Puerto Rico and other countries.

Obras suyas se encuentran en colecciones privadas de Italia, Estados Unidos, Francia, España, Alemania, Inglaterra, Puerto Rico y otros países.
