Interesante dibujo a lápiz sobre papel de una maja con mantón, firmado.
Tiene mucha calidad, tiene una pequeña rotura un poco más arriba de la firma.
Bien enmarcado y con cristal.
Firmado en margen inferior derecho.
Medidas: 56,5 x 54 cm; 73 x 60,5 cm (marco)
Baldomero Galofre Jiménez ( Reus,1846 - Barcelona1902 ).
Pintor nacido en Reus, discípulo del afamado pintor Ramón Martí Alsina.
Estudió en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Roma y fue un gran seguidor de las obras de Mariano Fortuny. Dicha influencia tanto de su maestro como de Mariano Fortuny, lo empleará en la nueva manera de representar sus obras.
Quiso llevar a cabo todo un proyecto ilusionante e innovador que se basaba en recoger mediante bocetos y dibujos las diferentes variedades regionales de las provincias españolas, rompiendo con esa visión romántica de los viajeros extranjeros.
No pudo completarlo en vida y finalmente falleció en Barcelona en 1902
