About Artist
I was born in the vibrant cultural Nigeria on April 12, 1988. I emerged as a devoted full-time painter and artist, carving my unique niche in visual art. My educational journey led me to the illustrious Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Nigeria, where I delved deep into the realm of Fine Arts, honing my creative talents. My artistry is characterized by the enchanting strokes of impressionism and the captivating allure of figurative expression. I wield my brush being a storyteller, painting vivid narratives of daily life in society.
Through my art, I capture the struggles, aspirations, endeavors, and resilience of individuals facing life's myriad challenges.
For me, impressionism is not merely a style but a profound means of self-expression and skill enhancement. The interplay of blue and orange strokes in my creations adds a unique dimension to my oeuvre, distinguishing me as an artist with a signature touch. While I occasionally explore the realms of realism, impressionism remains my preferred avenue for artistic exploration.
The act of painting is more than a profession for me; it is a source of unbridled joy and inspiration. I derive immense pleasure from wielding my brush, using my creations to articulate the tapestry of life's experiences. With each stroke, I breathe life into my subjects and imbue my art with a resonant voice. My artistic influence knows no boundaries, as my works have transcended borders and found homes in collections around the world. Notably, my art has made its mark in the United States, a testament to the universal appeal of my creative vision.
Over the years, I have participated in several exhibitions, some of which are group and duo. I have just concluded a solo exhibition in California, USA. Titled: “Full Circle” Nov.2023/April 2024.

My name is Bello Gabriel, I'm an impressionist and a figurative artist. My art started when I was very little. I love playing with colors and drawing comics. Little did I know then that I was going to be an artist because I was not focused on that area, I just see art as a talent and not a profession. But in a long run after high school, I studied art at one of the prestigious institutions in Lagos, Nigeria. Yaba College of Technology, Yabatech. And now I’m a full-time studio artist. I love painting in blue and orange renditions because blue is a natural color that accords freedom confidence, intuition, and faith. And orange, associated with optimism and energy. So I combined these two colors together to produce meaningful and exceptional works of art. My paintings talk about the daily life of people in society, the struggles, attempts, and efforts towards human survival, and many more. My painting is a consistent search for the best way to interpret the common ideas I have about people in the society we found ourselves in and the world we all live in. My works are not limited to one particular background. Inspiration and ideas change. Each piece I create is simultaneously a stretch from my discovery and observation of my society and the world at large. I do not want my art to speak for me alone, but for people who are being deprived of their rights and value, who were long ago silenced. If an onlooker stops for just a moment to view and ruminate on a piece I have created, then I have done well in my work.
