Abstracted portrait of a woman by Channyn Gallegos (American, 20th Century). The subject's hair has been created from abstract, flowing forms, which allow the face to peer out from behind them. The face is full of rich detail, especially in the eye and lips. Some of the paint in this piece is metallic, including the bronze color and the light blue.
Signed and dated on verso, as well as the bottom edge: Channyn Gallegos 2019
No frame, but the edges are painted for a frame-less display.

Channyn Gallegos (American, 20th Century) was born and raised in Port Republic, New Jersey. Gallegos was initially known for her surfing seascapes, portraits, and landscapes of Atlantic City, but enjoys sculpting and other media as well. She moved to San Jose, California and opened her own studio and workshop, offering classes to the public.

Oil and acrylic multicolor and multitextured abstract painting by Patricia Selin (American, B 1936-). Greens, purples, blues and whites take up the canvas, with a focal point depicting a thick blue line as the base, with pops of greens and purples mixed into the blues.
