Dewashish Das - Pandits
Dry Pigment Tempera on Canvas, 24 x 24 inches
Inclusive of shipment in roll form.
A graduate of the Purnea Art College in Bihar, Dewashish's interest in art can be traced as early as junior school. Before a stint at the Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata, Dewashish worked with the eminent artist Shri Sukumay Mitra, a graduate from Shantiniketan and student of Nandalal Bose.
India’s rich tribal culture and heritage are the recurring theme of Dewashish's paintings. This stems from his desire to capture this for posterity and the sheer pleasure he derives from painting tribals.
Dewashish Das has participated in several regional, national and international exhibitions.
