Born in Medellín, Colombia on September 20, 1949 Felix Angel received his Baccalaureate at Colegio San José, in his hometown, in 1966. The same year he studied painting and drawing at Medellin’s Institute of Fine Arts at night, receiving a half scholarship to continue his studies the following year. Instead he enrolled in the School of Architecture of the National University of Colombia (1967), graduating as an Architect in 1974. Simultaneously with his architecture studies, he pursued his career as an artist, studied ceramics for two years with his Aunt Silvia Ferrer (1968-69), and taught at the Instituto de Artes and the Colegio Mayor de Antioquia, in the areas of architectural draftsmanship, and advertisement.
In 1971, during his fourth year at the School of Architecture he received First Prize at the II Salón de Arte Joven, a competition held at the local art museum, the Museo de Zea (currently Museo de Antioquia). He got his first solo exhibition in Medellín at the Banco Grancolombiano in1972, where he was introduced by the Colombian novelist Manuel Mejía Vallejo. The same year he received another award at the III Salon de Arte Joven, and in 1973 a third award at the same salon. He also exhibited in the Colombian cities of Cali and Popayan. In September of 1974 he showed his work in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and in September visited Washington, D.C., where participated in a group exhibition at the Organization of American States titled “Five Artists from Medellin”, with great success. In November of the same year, he was nominated to the National Award at the Salón de Artistas Colombianos, in Bogotá.
In 1975 Felix Angel was hired as Art Director and Creative of Leo Burnett and Novas, in Medellín, but resigned to concentrate on his first book, a novel titled “Te Quiero Mucho Poquito Nada” (I Love you, I Love You Not), which he illustrated and published underground with his own money. The book made him very well known in Colombia, and in the next year, while maintaining a very active career as a painter and draftsman, he initiated the publication of an underground leaflet dedicated to art criticism entitled “Yo Digo” (I Say)” . He also taught a semester at the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, in Medellín, and continued visiting the United States. In 1976, along with the Museo El Castillo, he published his second book “Nosotros: Un trabajo sobre los artistas antioqueños” (a study on his contemporary artists from Medellin). In April of 1977 he settled in Washington, D.C. His ideas and visual expression continued for long time exerting a good deal of influence on the younger generation of artists in Medellin.
Throughout a career that spans forty years, Félix Ángel has presented more 100 exhibitions in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Panamá, Peru, Puerto Rico, and The United States; participated in more than 300 art fairs, collective exhibitions and international competitions in the Western Hemisphere and Europe; executed several public commissions; and receive several distinctions and appointments, including awards at the biennials of Mexico City (1980), and Montevideo (Uruguay, 1981).

Julius Njau paintings are characterised by the interaction of primary colors and the mixture of forms. One of the most popular series of the Master Artist, The Golden Flute is the artists more romantic renedition of Art. The iconic figures of Krishna, Radha, and Ganesha that found lyrical expression in the Icons series are modern representations and sophisticated idealizations of the same images in the popular media.
Krishna is a cosmic musician, and the tune he creates by playing his transcendental flute is embodied with cosmic energy. When Krishna is depicted as being between the age of 5 and 8, it is always with his flute. Therefore, during this period, he is aptly called Murlidhara (murali means “flute,” and dhara means “hold”), signifying the one who holds the flute. He is never without it, whether he is with his mother, on the grazing grounds with his herd of cows, among his cowherd companions or roaming around on the Jamuna banks. Gopis lose their selves in this tune. For them, music becomes the voice of love, which is too passionate and secretive.
Style :
The city of Kolkata has always figured prominently in his work. His themes come from his personal interactions with its urban milieu - its sickness and sordidness, its violence and vulnerability and all that compounds its existential agony. Shuvaprasanna has depicted varying moods of the city and its people, its places, and all its facets that make the city distinctive.
He doesn't merely portray reality as 'matter of fact' and his presentation of reality often has dream-like elements in it. In terms of technique, Shuvaprasanna boasts a precise, finely executed style that yields an unmistakable visual intensity. He works comfortably in an assortment of media, including oil on canvas, charcoal, and mixed media.

Signed, Dated, Titled Verso
BIO:
Daniel Jefferson AKA "Bipolar Holiday" is a self-taught street artist. A native of St. Louis, he grew up in North St. Louis County in the cities of Normandy and Hazelwood. By the age of 3, he was drawing and painting alongside his father and together they shared studios and collaborations into his mid-20s.
His father grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi and his mother in St. Louis. Expounding on his family history, Holiday speaks of his Quaker and Native American ancestry - along with his father, who is black, and his mother who is white - as forming his multiracial identity and upbringing. He expresses “not always fitting in,” - being neither “this nor that” - and residing on the margins between the social constructs of race. This emotional state is reflected in his artistic output. He cautions us to see that, while the subject matter of his work is not always a direct depiction of his experience of race, his existence as a person of color propels him and bears directly on his artistic focus and choice of materials, along with the application and gesture in each work. Anger and sadness are part of it – also love, joy, pride and humility. The artist often signs his work with a mark inspired by the ancient Egyptian Eye of Horas – a symbol of power, protection, and health.
Throughout his career, Bipolar Holiday has been both a solo practitioner and a collaborator. Tagging as King Dee and later Melo, he worked variously in the St. Louis area from the mid- 1990s to early 2000s. In the 1990s, he painted with the then St. Louis-based graffiti artist Nick Miller and his crew. Choice spots ranged from free standing concrete walls on abandoned property to temporary fencing along construction sites. The artist's compositions contained expressive line and figural elements – human faces, eyes – and the ethereal and allegorical – angel, devil motifs, etc. Later, he moved his artistic focus to a more studio-based form starting in the early 2000s. Holiday had his first show alongside his father’s work at Urbis-Orbis Gallery in downtown St. Louis in 2003. Coming full circle, he occasionally works in a few items of collage or spontaneous marks made by his daughter during her early childhood.
Bipolar Holiday has exhibited his work both locally and globally including St. Louis, New York, Grand Rapids and Antwerp. In 2019, he was featured in a four-page spread of JMG Lifestyle Magazine and a large-scale work whet to the Isabis Art Expo in 2019. St. Louis Magazine listed “Bipolar Holiday: Kyoto Girls” when the Walker-Cunningham Fine Art pop-up exhibit was named to the A-List in July 2020.
Holiday's work can be found in numerous private and public collections. He lives in St. Louis City...

Couple, Oil & Acrylic on Canvas by Modern Indian Artist “In Stock”
By Rabin Mondal
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Rabin Mondal - Couple ; Oil & Acrylic on Canvas
42 x 36 inches ; 2015 (unframed) ( Typically frames to be 48 x 42 inches with a 3 inch frame )
(Shipment will be in roll form)
Style : Mondal`s works are mainly figurative. He paints in bold strokes and creates tableaux, whose themes are universal. The faces of his figures stare at you out of the canvas, strange and pensive, but also strong and defiant. Not yet beaten, surviving by sheer force of spirit. He mostly uses dense pigments in blacks and reds, with only occasional moss green and turquoise colors seeping through.
About the Artist & his works :
Born : Rabin Mondal (1929 – 2019) was born in Howrah, Kolkata.
Education :
1959 : Completed his Art Appreciation Course, Ashutosh Museum, Kolkata University, Kolkata.
1956-58 : Attended Evening Classes, Indian College of Art and Draughtmanship, Kolkata.
1952 : Bachelor of Commerce, Vidyasagar College, Kolkata University, Kolkata.
Art Career : The industrial belt of Howrah, with its inherent tendency towards violence, anguish and suffering influenced him deeply, and found its way into his works. So did ugly street battles fought by political parties. Mondal discovered that his artistic temperament was out of keeping with the hostile environment and situation.
Besides a debilitating knee injury in his childhood created a sense of isolation in the artist, which also finds expression in his canvas. He says what saved him from sheer madness was his talent in art. In 1949, he joined the Vidyasagar College of Art in Kolkata. At that time, a festival of French artists was being held in the city. It exposed him to the works of French modernist artists. Prior to this, he had no exposure to the international art world. He was only familiar with different schools of Indian art, particularly the Bengal school.
As a young painter, Mondal was attracted by Jamini Roy`s folk style and Rabindranath Tagore`s disquieting paintings and drawings. But the show by French artists was virtually a turning point in his artistic career. "This was like opening a window to an astounding, astonishing, unsuspected world," he says. This encounter with avant-garde Western art helped him to later incorporate elements from it in his own work.
Art Works : Mondal worked out of his Howrah studio, churning out a series of "kings" and "queens" painted with oil on canvas. These are perhaps Mondal’s best known works, depicting tragic looking figures, seemingly suffering from paranoia and fear, yet ironically termed kings and queens. Some of the highlights of this series were the works Man Acting as King, King Being Appeased, King Making Confession, and King and his Assassin. Mondal also produced a series of "deities", which sometimes seem to merge thematically with his "queens". The artist’s deities are generally depicted with radiate crowns, whereas his kings and queens are not. Other favorite subjects of the artist were the brothel and the harem, which he depicted in canvases such as Event in Red Light Area and Orgy.
For someone who hates all forms of pretentiousness, he has done a series of painting on queens and empresses. "Though they belong to the past, queens live in virtual isolation, and I feel sorry for them," he says. "It is this isolation that makes the queen, for me, a fascinating subject." One of the criticisms leveled against him is that his works are not pleasing to the eye. To which he replies, "Painting is for communication and not for decoration."

Rabin has had several solo exhibitions:

Thirst- woman with the straw in wine-colored, brown and beige
By Igor Fomin
Located in Fort Lee, NJ
The hero at this painting is a human. His eyes are a lenses that artist using. At all time they are together, a man and a woman. Duality of differences, two views, different accents, but in one wholeness. Fomin is a fairy-tale artist, a romance teller, who is choosing never ending life stories for a viewer. He is telling these stories with realistic language of the artist, citing the language of Bruegel sentimental sincerity of Chagall, but also a precise coloristic scheme, that was a signature of French Art in the second half of XX century.
The fantastic World of the artist is perfectly detailed that makes it truthful. This artistic language principle defined the style of the artist long before he entered the Art World market.
