A lifelong resident of San Francisco, California, Frances Lieberman was a painter, sculptor and etcher whose subjects included many scenes of San Francisco, child figures, and seascapes--all in a style that combined realism, impressionism, and abstraction. She was active with her career into the mid 1980s.
Lieberman studied at the California School of Fine Art with Nelson Poole and Ralph Stackpole. She married three times and exhibited under the names Weintraub and Gutman as well as Lieberman.
She was a member of the San Francisco Art Association and the Society of Western Artists and exhibited with those groups as well as the San Diego Fine Arts Gallery, the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Oakland Art Gallery.

Frances Beatrice Lieberman
Frances Beatrice Lieberman was a lifelong resident of San Francisco, California. She was a painter, sculptor and etcher whose subjects included many scenes of San Francisco, child figures and seascapes, all in a style that combined realism, Impressionism and abstraction. She was active with her career in the mid-1980s. Lieberman studied at the California School of Fine Art with Nelson Poole and Ralph Stackpole. She married three times and exhibited under the names Weintraub and Gutman as well as Lieberman. She was a member of the San Francisco Art Association and the Society of Western Artists and exhibited with those groups as well as the San Diego Fine Arts Gallery, the San Francisco Museum of Art and the Oakland Art Gallery.
