Good antique condition
Georges Jean Marie Haquette was born in 1854 in Paris. He was a student of Aimé Millet and Alexandre Cabanel. In 1875 he had work at the exhibitions of the Salon de Paris. Since 1878 he devoted himself entirely to maritime painting and settled in Dieppe where he often painted directly on the sea in a boat. His works are in numerous museums and collections. Georges Jean Marie Haquette passed away in 1906 in Dieppe.
