Gregroire Mathias
Afternoon during the autumn

2017

About the Item

During a family afternoon in Perigord, the artist wanted to represent all the remarkable elements that his gaze encountered. The changing colors of autumn, a walker on a path… Grégoire Mathias is the inventor of diachronic cubism. An unxeplored way of cubism, who shows landscapes, situations and above all, the notion of time. His works are at the same time a decomposition of subjects, lights, in a specific period of time. Note that since 2020 the artist is making UN posters via WFUNA, and that he is the first French artist to produce works for the association after Picasso, Chagall, Miro and Vasarely.
