include the flora and fauna of his homeland, pottery, and pieces of every day living that remind us of the human experience: telephones, shoes, chairs, etc. Araujo captures the essence of life, whether that be in nature or at home in abstraction and painterly flatness to deconstruct and also bring us closer to the entities of our world.
