TIMELESS
It’s so silent, I watch my life running around, but no one sees me, no one cares about me.
Am I still here or I am not? Is time still going or it stopped?
I lost my sense of time, Of life, But I think I’m still living.
I dressed my favorite red dress, and now waiting for the good moments. But nothing happens, and I’m still waiting.
I lost so much time while waiting.
I’m full of colors, but everything is dark around me.
Hossam Dirar is an Egyptian contemporary artist based in Barcelona, Spain.
He works with painting, video, sound, and installation art, to delve into questions of cultural identity, gender roles and to discuss socio-economic and political ideas.
Born in Cairo, Egypt 1978 where he currently lives and works. Obtained a BA in Fine Art Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, Cairo (graduated with honors, best Graduation project amongst all entries). His later studies included Graphic Design, Painting, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Product Design, Photography, Multimedia and Pottery.
