This painting forms part of a recent series. Throughout the years Lugo kept polishing the way he paints the human figure, and ridding his work of certain context, leaving a lot of space to focus on the subject and his interaction with the objects.
This particular piece shows a man on a blue sweater, he is covered with a white blanket. They are crossed by a black line, right at the height of the face of the character, it is not clear if he is standing or hanging. His physical attitude suggests that he is actually standing, but there seems to be nothing to stand on.
