What does it mean to be in step with time — to follow it, chase it, or try to sync your inner rhythm with the world’s pace? In this work, Iryna Burda explores the tension between personal perception of time and its relentless forward motion. The brushstrokes — at times impulsive, at times restrained — reflect a psychological struggle: adaptation, resistance, surrender.
The piece questions our dependence on the tempo imposed by society, and the fragile boundary where we risk losing connection with ourselves. How do we stay present without being swept away? How do we not lose ourselves in the chase?
A visual reflection on time as both an external force and an inner challenge.
