Jean-Pierre Brissart, who currently lives in La Roche de Glun in Drôme, began his self-taught artistic career with photography. Fascinated by the traces of time and the rare lights of nature, he exhibited in various cities of France: Tain, Tournon, Montelimar, Limoges, Gluiras (in Ardèche), Charmes sur Rhone, Grenoble, Arles (Photoservice Foundation Prize ), Paris.
In 2012, while continuing to practice photography, he began to paint inspired by his series of abstract photos. Working mainly on oil, his current favorite themes are abandoned industrial sites and abandoned houses, abstraction, portraits
