Joaquín Pallarés Allustante (Zaragoza, March 5, 1853 - Zaragoza, May 17, 1935) was a Spanish painter.
He trained initially in the Fine Arts Schools of Zaragoza and Madrid, then in Paris and, by the years of 1881, in Rome. On his return he was appointed, in 1886, professor of «Drawing of the Old» of the School of Fine Arts of Zaragoza and curator of the Museum of Antiquities, charges he resigned in 1897 to move to Paris, apparently hired by the dealer Goupil, for those who had to make an abundant pictorial production that will provide healthy income. By 1906 he returned to Spain, initially settling in Barcelona and later, in his old age, he will reside in Zaragoza.
Pallarés' painting covers almost all genres; from the portrait and mural compositions of a religious or decorative nature - as in the large canvas attached to the cruising vault of the church of Santa Engracia, or in one of the panels of the Main Theater of Zaragoza -, to the landscape and, mostly, genre scenes of eighteenth-century setting, in small-format paintings, following the tableautin fashion, in full success in Europe during the last quarter of the 19th century. Precisely with these themes and technique, the art and style of Pallarés are defined, which will end up in the last years of his life with economic success and an evident demonstration of virtuosity. The keys that explain his permanent dedication to this type of painting are in his initial apprenticeship in Madrid next to Vicente Palmaroli, a connoisseur and cultivator of the Fortuny style, in the subsequent connection to the dealer Goupil, main promoter of the works of Fortuny, and in the same artistic environment that Pallarés lived opportunely during his stays in Paris and Rome.
It can be affirmed that it has been among the Aragonese painters the most qualified representative of «fortunyism» as a pictorial style, whose main quality resides in the bright color that Pallarés applies with tiny and delicate brushstrokes.
Maturity work of Joaquín Pallarés, from his second stay in Paris in full artistic and commercial success.
Executed with a bright color that Pallarés applies with tiny and delicate brushstrokes. It has a magnificent composition, since despite being a not too large picture, it has a great perspective on all the monuments and buildings that form this famous Paris square.
From the source there are several diagonals that make up the painting, where figures pass through; a mother and her little daughter, the florist with her flower car, walking couples, etc. And horse cars in the future and daily hustle and bustle of urban life, giving clear prominence to the movement.

An elegant night view of the Parisian Republic Square, with amazing light effects that catch us.
This work executed based on brushstrokes of long and safe strokes that make the forms vibrate with vivid color.
Parisian nightlife is trapped in this corner of Paris. The monumental sculpture that symbolizes freedom and that presides over the square serves as a reference behind the tram between a light chiaroscuro. Meanwhile, the effervecent and lively life of the cafes that surround it vibrate strongly with its bright lights.
Èdouard León Cortés (1882–1969) was a French post-impressionist artist of French and Spanish ancestry. He is known as "Le Poète Parisien de la Peinture" or "the Parisian Poet of Painting" because of his diverse Paris cityscapes in a variety of weather and night settings.
Cortes was born on August 6, 1882, in Lagny-sur-Marne, about twenty miles east of Paris. His father, Antonio Cortés, had been a painter for the Spanish Royal...

Fresh and bright view of Clichy Square, Paris, where Leon Garrido offers us his most impressionistic and innovative technique.
The work has a pyramidal composition, from where monument to "Mariscal Moncey" on an 8 meter high pedestal and decorated with bas-reliefs that dominates the entire square.
The florist occupies a central place, from which distinguished figures appear around her. Its delicate and smooth chromaticism in gray and pearly dark almost black and a touch of red.
