The work Fishing is an intimate evocation of the tranquility and calmness offered by the sea. It captures a moment of peace and contemplation in which a fisherman, abstracted from his daily worries, gives himself to the simple pleasure of spending time with his fishing rod, is surrendered to the simple pleasure of spending some time with his fishing rod. The image portrays a timeless scene in which man, in harmony with nature, finds in the sea a source of serenity and reflection. The day is sunny, with a warm golden light gently bathing the scene. The sea, in a state of stillness, reflects a clear sky that merges with the horizon. The fisherman, set in golden point in the painting, is presented as an emblem of calm and meditation. His relaxed posture and his concentration on his task are evidence of the enjoyment of a ritual that has endured over time: fishing. The work is executed in oil on panel, which gives it a rich and vibrant texture that adds depth to the composition.

Born in Madrid, Spain, he pursued Interior Design studies but his aptitude for painting led him to focus on this art form. In 1986, he joined the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, where he spent several years drawing and painting figures from life. In 1989, he became a copyist of Art Works at the National Prado Museum in Madrid, a role he continued for several more years. He took painting courses with Daniel Quintero and Eduardo Úrculo, and engraving courses at the National Mint of Madrid with José Hernández, Daniel Gil, Paco Mora, and Luis Cabrera. He has held solo and group exhibitions in various national and international galleries. He has been selected for numerous national competitions and has won several awards, including the 2nd Prize at the Caballeros de Yuste, finalist in the VIII Laura Otero, Honorary Medal at Sotillo de la Adrada, 5th Prize at the XVIII Antequera in Málaga, Honorary Medal at the XXII López-Villaseñor, XLII Antonio López Painting and Drawing Competition in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, and First Prize in Small Format Painting at AGORA96 in Cádiz. He was a finalist in the Ynglada-Guillot Foundation Drawing Competition in Barcelona. His most recent selections include Daimiel and Virgen de las Viñas 2022, Laura Otero (finalist), and Valdepeñas 2023. In 2018, he was selected to exhibit at the Art Revolution Taipei International Art Fair and at the X-Power Gallery in Taipei.
