In this work, I create a scenario that awakens the imagination and defies conventional logic. I have opted for a surrealist approach in portraying a man, who, as a mime,
is immersed in a work scene. With the choice of this character I invite you to reflect on the art of representation and the on the art of representation and non-verbal communication, challenging traditional artistic conventions. The monochromatic palette used for the man and the landscape establishes a particular environment that reinforces the surreal atmosphere of the composition. This chromatic choice highlights the central figure and emphasizes his presence on the canvas. The absence of bright colors in the protagonist's surroundings generates a hypnotic effect, immersing the viewer in a unique visual experience. However, the real impact of the work lies in the ingenious color contrast provided by the presence of vividly painted macaws in the middle of the scene. These exotic birds break the monotony of the monochromatic tone, capturing the viewer's attention in unexpected ways. Their vibrant and colorful presence establishes a marked contrast with the sobriety of the rest of the painting, generating a visual impact that highlights the surreal nature of the composition. The surrealistic treatment of the image invites reflection on the subjective nature of reality and the ability of art to transcend conventional boundaries.

Born in Madrid, Spain, he pursued Interior Design studies but his aptitude for painting led him to focus on this art form. In 1986, he joined the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, where he spent several years drawing and painting figures from life. In 1989, he became a copyist of Art Works at the National Prado Museum in Madrid, a role he continued for several more years. He took painting courses with Daniel Quintero and Eduardo Úrculo, and engraving courses at the National Mint of Madrid with José Hernández, Daniel Gil, Paco Mora, and Luis Cabrera. He has held solo and group exhibitions in various national and international galleries. He has been selected for numerous national competitions and has won several awards, including the 2nd Prize at the Caballeros de Yuste, finalist in the VIII Laura Otero, Honorary Medal at Sotillo de la Adrada, 5th Prize at the XVIII Antequera in Málaga, Honorary Medal at the XXII López-Villaseñor, XLII Antonio López Painting and Drawing Competition in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, and First Prize in Small Format Painting at AGORA96 in Cádiz. He was a finalist in the Ynglada-Guillot Foundation Drawing Competition in Barcelona. His most recent selections include Daimiel and Virgen de las Viñas 2022, Laura Otero (finalist), and Valdepeñas 2023. In 2018, he was selected to exhibit at the Art Revolution Taipei International Art Fair and at the X-Power Gallery in Taipei.
