DESCRIPTION
The painting depicts a Jaguar E-Type Roadster Series 1, an icon of British automotive design and described by Enzo Ferrari as “the most beautiful car ever made.” Ferrigno portrays it in a three-quarter perspective, emphasizing the purity of its lines, the oval headlights, and the endlessly long bonnet. The cool palette of blues and greys enhances the metallic reflections of the bodywork and reinforces the nocturnal, urban atmosphere.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Juan Carlos Ferrigno (Buenos Aires, 1960) trained in Fine Arts and has developed his career in Spain since the late 1980s. Specializing in automotive painting, he won the Motoring Art Competition and has exhibited at Formula 1 Grand Prix events in Monaco and England. In 2000, he published The Motorsport Art of Juan Carlos Ferrigno (Haynes Publishing). His style combines the precision of realism with a pictorial language that conveys motion, speed, and emotion.
